Daktronics chosen to provide new scoring and video systems at five minor league ballparks

Brookings, S.D. - Nov. 2, 2004 - Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq - DAKT) announced today that it has been chosen to provide new integrated scoring, video and information display systems at five minor league ballparks. The total order value of these projects is approximately $1.8 million.
For the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Daktronics will provide a new customized baseball scoreboard complete with a ProStar® video display measuring approximately 17 feet high by 23 feet wide. The Fisher Cats are a class AA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays and were the 2004 Eastern League champions. The team will open the 2005 season in a new facility in Manchester, N.H.
The Lansing Lugnuts, a class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays and a member of the Midwestern League, have chosen Daktronics to design and manufacture an integrated scoring, video and advertising system for Oldsmobile Park in Lansing, Mich. System components include a ProStar® video display, additional electronic displays, a numeric light emitting diode (LED) scoreboard, speed of pitch display, and time of day display.
The Charleston Alley Cats, a class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will open the 2005 season in a new ballpark in Charleston, W.V., that will feature a new Daktronics integrated system. Included in the main scoreboard are a ProStar® video display, a numeric LED baseball scoreboard complete with team name message centers, and a Galaxy® monochrome display. The Alley Cats are a member of the South Atlantic League.
Fans of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, the 2004 champions of the New York - Penn League, will enjoy a new Daktronics system beginning next season in Eastwood Field. Daktronics is providing the Niles, Ohio, team with a ProStar® video display in a 9' x 16' wide screen configuration. The Scrappers are a class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.
The Southbend Silver Hawks, a class A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, will provide their fans with a new ProStar® display for the start of the 2005 season. The Silver Hawks play at Covaleski Regional Stadium in South Bend, Ind.
Over the past several years, Daktronics has provided scoreboards and displays at 100 minor league facilities. The Company provided new scoring and display equipment at four major league ballparks in the spring of 2004. The Anaheim Angels installed a sophisticated super system utilizing full-color LED displays in two large outfield scoreboards, in the outfield fence and on the fascia. The Cleveland Indians purchased the largest video display at any sports facility in North America, installing a Daktronics ProStar® display in their left field scoreboard that measures 36 feet high by 149 feet wide. New ballparks in Philadelphia and San Diego also incorporate multiple Daktronics displays.
